Lots of grinding and PCA by Mark 'poker_in_pb' Vargas, Mon. 5 Oct 2009
I got in 953 SNGs over the weekend. That's actually pretty good considering the PokerStars meltdown on Sunday. Even after all these years of playing, I still am itching to see what my adjusted numbers are at the end of a session. Since I was in 22 games when the system shut-down, I'm not sure how much Stars will refund me, therefore I don't really know how my results are. Oh well, they'll refund me within a week and then I'll run my numbers. The games have seemed to level off for the time being. They have been getting more difficult for quite some time, but I haven't seen any more new regs in a few weeks, so hopefully we'll stay at this level for awhile. PokerStars released their PCA 2010 schedule and it looks sweet. For starters, it's 11 days now. Even though we spent 4 straight months on a tropical beach this summer, I still can't get enough. It's usually kinda cold during the PCA, but we'll have to get at least a few hottish days out of the 10. My MTT skillz are getting better and better and I'm actually enjoying playing them more and more. I think I'll play alot of side events at the PCA this year since there should be plenty of time for Michaela and I to hang out, dive, and explore some new restaurants. I'm also hoping to market my buysellwt.com website, but I'm not sure what the best way is to do this. I don't want to annoy Stars or anyone else by plastering flyers everywhere or anything like that, but maybe I'll get some hats/T's printed up or something. I was supposed to meet my buddy to surf this afternoon, but he just emailed and canceled since the wind picked up and blew it out. So I called my friend Andrea and we're going to meet up at the wavehouse tonight and then get sushi. She's a SEO specialist (Search Engine Optimization), so it's great to talk to her since she always gives me tons of good tips for my fledgling site. Keep grinding, -PinPB
